2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Sumatra Black

Double beep on unlocking car

Can anyone please suggest a reason why I get a double beep when i unlock car which it never did before.I know it's not a case of doors not being shut which it would do on trying to lock it with one ajar for instance. Richie R. Simon

Had the same issue a few months ago, taken to dealer for software update, then sorted

2015 Freelander 2 TD4_e SE Manual Orkney Grey

I had a case recently when it did a double beep but wouldnt lock and all doors hatch and bonnet were definitely closed, didnt bother locking it as its garaged then the next morning on my way to the car tried it before touching anything and it was back to normal even though id touched nothing, been ok since.
LRs do strange things sometimes.

Apologies for restarting old thread but is there any more information on this double beep on unlocking please, mine has started doing it but not when I open boot only >🤔 If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Orkney Grey

Mine started doing it . After advice on this forum I solved it with hard reset. Disconnect battery, hold terminals together to drain all power. Leave 5 mins then reconnect. Bleeps were gone. FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey

Excellent video and problem solving, thanks very much. Will try and get replacement.
Don't fancy the other option of holding leads together 😀 If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

2013 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Fuji White

Try just unplugging the motion sensor first leave it unplugged for a few minuets then reconnect start engine then switch off then lock and unlock a few times, did this on my neighbours FLT and it worked, cheap fix if it doe's its worth a try? 2013 FL2 XS.
