Aircon noise ?

Had an intermittent noise on our 09 freelander for a while but have now pinned it down to the aircon system, it’s a rotational clattery sound that instantly stops when the aircon button is actuated ( led on ) what does that operate and is it a replaceable part ? Thanks

Is it a replaceable part or does it just need tightening up?

The outer support bearing for the clutch can fail. It is replaceable if you have access to a proper mechanic, but most garages now employ fitters, which would just fit a replacement compressor. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Narvik Black

My aircon gets a very noticeable and annoying rattle in it when it needs a re-gas. It usually needs a top up every couple of years to get rid of it.
