Loss of power and acrid smoke

Just sat by the side of the road awaiting recovery so I’d thought I’d post on here so I’ve got a few pointers on what to check when I get home.
The car has started to miss behave the past few days such as high revs when accelerating before settling down but I put it down to needing an air path calibration and the high temps/high humidity we’ve been having lately.
Today on the way to work it was very unresponsive with very high revs and little oomph. Suddenly there was a big loss of power and acrid burning smelling smoke pouring out of the back of the car and also in the cabin. I pulled over, lifted the bonnet and light grey/white smoke was pouring out from under the engine.
My immediate suspicion is the under engine intercooler pipe. Anyone else have any pointers so when you get home I can have a good inspection?

Thanks in advance!

A clutch is easy to identify. The engine RPM will climb, without a corresponding increase in road speed. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Shop around.
Changing a clutch is bread and butter work for a garage. Nothing special in a FL2. Its the labour that costs.

Depending upon mileage I would consider changing oil seals too especially if there is any signs of weeping.
And the slave cylinder. Jules

Car is now back from the garage and I’m £1300 lighter (Clutch kit, flywheel kit, labour and recovery from my house). Good thing I decided to get the flywheel done because apparently it was seized. Now I’ve just got to get used to the new bite without stalling! The car is now far more responsive throttle wise.

Now I can save up for the things I want to get done to the car🤞
