UHF radio

Have taken my uhf radio out of my RR and wish to put it into my Freeby.
My question is where would be the better place to put the aerial.
Was thinking of making a bracket so I could put it onto the top of the tailgate on one of the hinges.
Any other suggestions greatly appreciated.

cheers

Have been along Gibb River Road & Australia's Longest Shortcut (Great Central Road 2700km). Don't see the point of radio.

But if you don't have roof racks. Just knock up a bracket for, & bolt with M6 to rear roof rail mount.

Seal well with Teflon tape as the holes all go through to the cabin. 25mm of thread into the roof with not interfere with the curtain airbag.

Sand flag on right & aerial on left will look good.
