United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black
Back to black

Ok so I would like your thoughts suggestions ridicule please. I've just become the 2nd owner of this 09 HSE with a little over 64,000 on the clock and fsh. Its showing its age on the boot handle ect and I'm thinking of a black face lift replacement. But how far do I go?? Black door handles and vents? Smoked rear lights, black rims? What do ya think ?

Spray it a different colour all over, black is so hard to keep clean. Common sense isn't very common.

Loose the silver door handles, but I'd keep the silver wing grilles for contrast. The rear door would benefit from the facelift handle, which is why I put one on mine. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

Door handles , boot handle , Vents , mirror plastics , I’d get them all hydro dipped in a black/silver carbon weave look. Hydro dipping has endless possibilities . The wheels, powder coated in a really dark metallic grey . The rear lights , I’d be wary about MoT time . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Don't go black. I had a dark blue Lancia briefly, it looked like a dog's landmine 90 seconds after washing.

Like a top end Mercedes & Ferrari driving together in local streets, you could go with a hot pink iridescent wrap. Not my personal choice.

Failing that, like me, wash the car once a year. The car is simply a bit of pressed metal to get from A to B.

This is how it will look with everything black. I like it, obviously , because it's mine but it's not to everybody's taste.

Well I'm never one for the latest trends or fads.
However, I wasn't happy with those "pea shooters" so I had the exhaust place re-do the rear so I could fit the HST tips, which I think are much better.

A row of them (another 8 or 10) across the back would look the part! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Sorry for post hijack, but how do the wing side grills come off ? Do you have to remove the wheel arch liners ?
