What a time for my Air Con compressor to die on me, I took it to a local garage as it has not been working well and they checked it over - and then handed me part of the clutch system which has broken off.

Does anyone have an idea of what it is going to cost to replace the compressor....

Do you need a compressor? A quick google suggests you can just get the clutch if that all that is wrong. FL2 2007 2.2d Auto SE. Baltic Blue.

This happened to mine too.

Lrman, you can buy the clutch seperately but I didn't do this as I am concerned that this might have sheared off because the compressor has siezed.

If this thing ever stops breaking I might be inclined to get it fixed, but since I can't go 48 hours with something breaking or developing a temporary fault then it.

The clutch plate has sheered off - it was found laying on the undertray.

I have found a local garage who can replace it for a total cost of £600.
