Hi, try putting this request in the For sale and wanted section. different people will read different threads.
Oh, and why not introduce yourself in the appropriate section. show us some photos of the FL2 if you like. DAVE.

Yesterday I changed the oil in the PTU, well as much as possible anyway.

Got 400ml out which was quite dark despite only being in there since Jan 2022 when the PTU was replaced...

Got 500ml back in.

The Laser 4385 mini pump was very good for refilling without making a mess.

To follow up, today I got more oil into the PTU as on Saturday I had the car on ramps at the front and my drive slopes. So with it now
facing downhill and on the ramps at the front was a better situation. In total I got about 650ml back in which tells me the 400ml I took out was pretty much all that was in there. A little miffed if that's all that was put in on the fitting of the recon unit...!

Having cleaned the mud off from the Ten Tors event car park and got my steed looking fine once again, the recent flooding round here has taken me back to square one. Still over the moon with it, 2011 SD4 HSE with 130k ish on it now. Gearbox flush last year worked wonders and it continues to give sterling service, either solo or towing our Ace Award Nightstar (1450kg). Solo mpg on a 65mph cruise is well over 40mpg, so despite Autotrader browsing it is here to stay.

You could have too much oil in now. It’s recommended to fill until it runs out of the filler hole and then remove 120 ml. 64 plate TD4 SE Santorini Black

I've read and heard a lot of conflicting information about that one...

Even when I did the top up the front was still higher and I left it for long enough for the excess to drain...

The main issue is that for a few weeks I've been getting a noise from that area and can feel it slightly through the footwell Sad

It's still there after the oil change and it's going into my local indy soon for them to investigate further...

I showed the picture of the old oil to one of the service guys at work and he said it looks like it's got pretty hot Shocked

Well I finally switch my Xenon HIDs to some HID LEDs........one of my Xenon's was yellowing. If I am pleased with the night vision, the low heat/draw will be welcomed.

@Bobupndown, Wayrank

I was having issues finding LED HIDs at 35W each, 70W total since that's what the ballasts currently support. Before I used CarRover HIDs 6000K Xenons and they were great for driving at night on unlit roadways. They don't sell that model anymore it seems (on Amazon).

I will test them at night and post back but they appear to be just as bright if not slightly better. I'll be able to quote you this time when I update this thread....strange you can never quote the last post easily without messing with gymnastics Smile.

Amazon Canada:

EDIT: Amazon keeps telling me that 100W and 120W bulb pairs will fit my model and I keep telling them to "go pound sand" Very Happy

Yes it's strange you can't quote the last message, thought that before and not seen any other forums that don't let you do that. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

So, they are definitely brighter compared to the aftermarket HIDS 6000Ks I was running for 2-3 years before one started yellowing. Those were excellent at the time. There appear to have slightly more light dispersion but the extra brightness makes up for it. I will keep an eye out for any reaction of oncoming traffic since more dispersion might require me manually adjusting the driver side lamp.

Pretty Happy! Thumbs Up
