Thought I would try, Cif on my tyres and wheels. Sprayed on dry and used dish washer brush over the tyres and wheels. Rinsed off with the hose and hey presto amazing result. Tyres so clean they didn't need dressing. Also worked on the rubber mats,

Awesome, just make sure you rinse it really well after anywhere the spray can go, JIC. I use a rim cleaner, Simoniz (HEAVY DUTY per the marketing) that removes iron dust and brake dust and when I apply brakes for the first two to three times, I can hear them and feel them. It's like much sharper noisy braking until the forth time.

I was gonna try Dawn Powerwash because at Costco it's really reasonable compared to car care "specialty" product pricing.

That might be a bit harsh, I'd use it very sparingly in case it damages the lacquer.
My favourite wheel cleaner is bilt hamber Korrosol, ph neutral so safe but very effective.
