HandiRack Inflatable Roofrack

Has anybody tried one of these?

http://www.handirackuk.com/

I've a three month old SE without roof rails, and was looking at buying a Thule roof rack system ready for the family holiday (for the luggage, not the kids!!) Since I only really use the roof rack once or twice a year, these seemed like a good idea. I'll probably need the HandiHoldall too, but this will still be cheaper than the Thule stuff...

Just wondered if anybody had tried on of these, and what you thought...

Thank you...

since its going on a SE they will be they will sit on your glass roof so will lesson the impact of scratches, but can the glass roof take the weight Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Question

I paid about £120'ish for my Thule roof rack, but then you have the cost of a roof box/bag ontop

this link will give you a little 5% discount if that helps out where i got mine from Whistle Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Looking at it, I think the roof will have most the load of the kit you carry, not the rails on the side of the car which are designed for it.

In Belgium, If you dent your roof, your car is always written of as the roof is a main structural part of the car. So I'd never risk that.

These inflatable roofracks are again one of those superfluous ideas where someone wants to make big money.

They don't look very trustworthy.

Just go for Thule roofracks and you're on the safe side. Freelander 2 SE 4Td Izmir Blue, Dog cage for Alaskan Malamute, iphone Navigon Navigator

i think they was designed for surfers needing to get the boards to the beach ect

I really don't think they are for load carrying, whatever the website depicts with the holdall bags

For all we know it could be full of helium balloons Laughing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
