Kenwood DMX7018DABS

Apologies if topic repeated can't find specific enough to answer on forum so far. Hi folks, I have a 2011 SD4 XS that has a Kenwood DMX7018DABS fitted (before I bought it) in the facia where the radio/cd changer was originally. The LR sat nav screen is still fitted. As I prefer the position of the sat nav to the Kenwood is there anyway I can get the speakers for the sat nav to work as currently no sound and no clock?

Cheers

In a word no. The factory nav is designed to work through the factory audio system.
So unfortunately whoever fitted the aftermarket stereo, has castrated the nav system too. The clock also comes from the factory audio system, so the nav clock or dash clock won't work, as there's no time being transmitted on the data bus.

Oh and the parking sensors won't work either, as those are also routed through the factory audio system. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. My daily driver.

Thank you, thought answer might be along those lines! Wish it hadn't been done!

I have a 2011 Freelander, no factory fitted sat nav. I have a Kenwood unit in place of the original. As @Nodge68 says the dash clock no longer works, but the reversing sensors do. Richard M
