The crash status will be in more than one module.
JLR SDD should clear it from additional modules, but possibly not the airbag module, if the airbags have actually been deployed.
You're best bet is to get it to someone with SDD for a proper LR grade diagnostic. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

I will replace the curtain airbags when I get the chance. They are not expensive.

The crash data only seems to be on the srs module. I know sometimes the bcm and others sometimes record it.
The srs module can be reset but not by conventional methods. The official jlr route is to replace it for a new one. You can't use a used one as it needs the vin number to be programmed into it. This seems to be common with other manufacturers too and I wonder how many people have paid for a new ecu for no real good reason. The reset process is just a simple memory reset to erase the crash data.

I had to change my passenger airbag, seatbelt and pretensioner and I then had that code B1193-68. Because the airbag deployed the data needs to be removed. I took the airbag ECU out from under the centre console sent it to a company to wipe the crash data, very quick turnaround and was about £40.

Yes, I've sent mine off today. I did think about doing it myself but it was too much hassle to get set up for it.
As I said, the JLR official route is to replacecthe ECU and I think other manufacturers are the same. There is no technical reason that I know of that the memory can not be reset with the right diagnostic tool as they already have to write the VIN to the module when it is installed. The only possible reason I can see is that the electronics can not be trusted once it has deployed and airbag as it might put a heavy load on it.
