I have used FixMyStreet for several years to report pot holes and fly tipping etc

Quite handy - have your GPS on and just take a pic within the app and fill in the details later if you like. Seems to result in rubbish being cleared fairly quickly.

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Zermatt Silver

Agree with Jules, FixMyStreet is the only way to get the local authority to take any action. That said it usually amounts to a workman throwing some tarmac in the hole then patting it down with the back of the shovel. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.

There was badly broken up speed pad along the road from my place, reported on fix my street about a month ago by someone that had apparently hit it and found he’d got a slow puncture as a result. Not surprised, it had all fallen away on one side, leaving a sheer edge about 8 ins high. Was finally repaired last week.

We have back-roads that are getting to be a bit like this.

My main worry is that it is becoming unsafe to drive through puddles/standing water as you never know what is below the surface. Apart from catching edges of tyres, I am beginning to be glad the FL2 has a decent wading depth. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

I just replaced a Pirelli Verde with only 6000 miles on.
Had a puncture, changed wheel(glad I have a full size spare)
Tyre place informed me new tyre needed due to sidewall damage.
Cut was about an inch long but tyre had to be scrapped.
Possibly pothole damage. Fed up reporting potholes online and along with local councillor.
I do watch out but shows you can be easily caught. Jim A
