I was able to get to the starter and determined that was the culprit. $225 at O'Reilly and some time on the ground allowed for a fresh install and a now running LR2.


Thanks a ton for the help and for the previous info on this forum.

I'm hoping that the faulty starter being replaced will prove to also have been the battery drainage issue we were having

Very Happy So far so good! Cool the true test will be after being gone for a few days to see if it starts without issue upon returning. Again, much appreciate the help

Norway 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Stornoway Grey

So, finally, my car starts up like a charm now, i ordered a new set of aftermarket solenoid kit for the starter motor, very easy DIY.
I think i still have a drainage problem with the battery somewhere, but my newly mounted pole switch taking care of that for now😊
