Intermittent loss of throttle ?

Bit of an odd one, 09 2.2 auto, very occasionally on start up, car ticks over fine, but there is no response from pressing the accelerator pedal, no noises or warning lights etc, just carries on ticking over, turn it off and 9 times out of ten on the second start it’s fine, drives great with no issues. Can happen from a hot or cold start. Any thoughts ?

I would check the live values for the pedal but you need a code reader like the Autel AP200

Used to happen to me a lot. Was me putting it into gear too fast after starting engine. Try starting then waiting couple of seconds for all the electric doohickeys to talk to each other before selecting a gear to see if it's same
