RUNNING BOARDS/SIDESTEPS LOOSE - 2013 SD4 HSE

I have genuine Landrover sidesteps fitted when new by the supplying dealer to my 2013 SD4 HSE. I noticed today that the driver's side steps are loose from the back door and only appears to be properly attached by the front door.

It looks like they are held onto the outriggers by some kind of plastic rivet. Can anyone advise on how to repair?

Thanks in adavance.

When I bought mine one of the sidesteps was actually just resting on the brackets on the drivers side, I had driven from East Midlands to Cornwall with the step unattached!

The rivets aren’t plastic, but they can easily be replaced, you need a good heavy duty rivet gun.

Somewhere in here there is a thread showing how I did it. Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Mine was loose on passengers' side so took them off (3 bolts each side) and reset then into the brackets and put bolts back in. This sorted it.
