You can make your own reset tool with a piece of coathanger wire like I did.

Unless you knew the exact quality of the fuel, I'd not bother. It'll cost more to rectify any potential issues created by bad fuel, than any potential savings on the fuel itself. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

Agree, not worth the risk with fuel, it could have algae growing in it for a start being diesel.

I use a lot of fuel out of containers for remote traveling but I I bought the fuel so know where it came from & also use it up quickly.

It takes 3 minutes to empty 10 litres into the car with nozzle supplies with the container. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Filter it, and leave to stand in clear container - so that you can see if has any water in it.

Unless it is very new, I would only add it in relatively small amounts, so that it is mixed with good new fuel, and you can monitor for problems.

If in doubt, don't use it. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

If you have a misfuel fuel device in your filler you are going to need a special funnel. Look for emergency funnel diesel on the bay of thieves.

Get a piece of coathanger wire bend it into a U shape about 10 inches long bend the ends into two prongs about 10 mm
long ,put the prongs into the slots in the filler neck then gently pull up till the yellow locking plate resets ,easy
