England 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

The Command Driving position, the height it gives and the good all round visibility makes the F2 a very hard car to give up as ordinary cars just don't give that position and comfort. I frequently give older some persons a lift to church and they all say how comfortable and how good the visibility in the F2 is and how easy it is to get in and out of it.

If we are rambling about the FL2 driving position, then note that the DS drivers seat doesn't go as far back as the FL2 - the second row seats move backwards and forwards, so the drivers seat can't go as far back as it wouldn't give the second row enough room.

Granted mine have both been 7 seaters, maybe the 5 seater doesn't need the moving second row as they don't need to let the third row occupants out. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Scotland 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Thoroughly enjoyed reading all the posts here.
As a former biker (1960,s BSA A10 Super rocket 650cc) you had to learn very quickly about widths. Especially in city driving, Glasgow. I have never had a problem with judging width and often in my D2 at a local set of lights with a bypass loop I would just drive through and then watch drivers in their euroboxex pulling up. Never seem to use nearside mirror to check how close to the road edge they are. Driving height in the D2 i do miss, but the FL2 is not far off.
Too many young drivers really don,t get the chance to drive on narrow country roads, too many dual carriageways and motorways.
Keep up the comments.
