Rear screen washer fluid blocked

Hi all
I’m sure already covered elsewhere but don’t see it.
My rear screen washer stopped working last week, front works ok and the pump runs on selection.
I removed the high level rear brake light and found a connector on the rubber hosing that supplies the washer nozzle, around 6” from the light.
Once disconnected and operated it pumped fine but expelled thick soapy sediment for a while.
The in line connector is actually a non return valve and this was blocked with the same.
I let it soak overnight in a detergent and although it cleared it, it no longer acts as a non return valve (now allows flow in either direction) so I’ve ordered up a new one.
Part number of the non return valve is AMR6676, a couple of pounds on eBay, £5 main dealer. Brgds

You may find that the sediment was caused by mixing different screen washes as the detergents and additives can react with each other.

If you can you should flush the system out with clean water to get rid of any remaining sediment and try to stick with one make of screen wash.

I bought 25L of the super concentrated Comma XStream Screen wash - last about 10 years but, despite it being on Amazon, its seems its unavailable now. Jules

Lidle an Aldi do screenwash too! Last time I looked the packaging and instructions for dilution and use were the same as Sonax screenwash which I’ve used for the last 12 years.
