Underside of dash A column speaker grill with custom acoustic insulation. For access, A column trim has to be removed, vent needed to be pulled out, but there is just enough room for a thin magnet for a custom magnetic custom bracket similar to centre magnetic mount.

England 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

Best thing about connected nav (be that Google Maps, Waze or Garmin +SIM) is the dynamic re-routing for traffic conditions.

I run Waze on Android Auto on my X-Trons and it's spot on. Only frustration is that Waze on Android Auto has a coding error that doesn't pick up on the night/day settings, so if you start the car after dark you get blinded by a bright white map background until you dive into the menus and force it to night mode. Google Maps is fine. Current driveway contents:
2021 V60 Cross Country B5
2009 FL2 dog bus and shooting wagon

On Order: 2023 Fisker Ocean Ultra - deposit paid.

Ours is a 2010 and if I remember correctly the disc is the 2009 version.

It feels like using Windows 95 to operate and takes ages to input an address.

With the phone you just say "Navigate to........" And it takes you there.

I've not had any issues with Google maps of with Waze.

I don't know if it is worth trying the newer disc, but it isn't the lack of new roads etc, it is the old clunky interface that I don't really like. I presume the slow old interface doesn't get replaced with the newer disc?

The interface and underlying software was updated/upgrade in 2012 - this gave some new functions. MY13 HSE Lux Santorini Black Gone
