Land Rover’s are not invincible

This RR was driven onto beach at Southport two days ago and became stuck, local lifeboat tried to help but too deep in mud.Been totally submerged a few times already .
According to local news site the car was a hire car 😩

 2011 XS,Sumatra Black, GONE MARCH 2014- RR Evoque Prestige 5 door ,MY 2014,Loire Blue, Silver Roof, Panoramic roof.
MY 2016 Disco Sport HSE Auto Scotia Grey,REJECTED
Mercedes E220D AMG line with air suspension(Gone)
DS 200 SE Dynamic my 21 (Gone)
DS 200 SE Dynamic my 22 (Gone)
Audi Q5 40TDI S line (gone)
Discovery Sport D200 S 2024 MY

Really really big signs at Southport forbidding private cars from driving on the beach - I suppose rental cars are exempt. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

There are beaches in Australia where the sand is more than hard enough for 2wd cars. Then there are other beaches where the sand will not support anything & signposted accordingly.

The question is though, was it the abilities of the car or the driver that were at fault?

I hove lived here 55 years and know not to try and drive on beach in those areas especially at night.
