My fl2 auto has just started to jerk when pulling away and also when brakeing, had a good look round underneath but cant find anything obvious loose! could it just be the auto box needs an oil change? Discovery 3 tdv6 gone

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Rimini Red

If the gearbox fluid is more than 75k miles, then the box isn't being protected correctly.
Change the fluid and see what happens. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

Do you know if your vehicle has had the software update for the gearbox? Mine started to jerk when pulling away , especially with the caravan on the back. I read about the update on here somewhere and asked the dealer about it. He hadn't heard of it but looked into it, found it and updated the software. Did the trick! I would also give a thumbs up for changing the auto box fluid, did mine at about 85K , much smoother changes afterwards. MY 2013 SD GS Auto
