Servicing 'Extras'

Has anyone taken up either of the 'extras' I was offered yesterday when I booked the car in for its next service?
Iwas asked whether I wanted the fuel system cleaned for an extra £39 and the air con checked over for a further £39. I declined, but just wondered whether anyone else had done so and found either to be of any benefit at all!

never been offered them

But on both my last services they did place a additive in the tank in the cost of the service, and if you want to clean your fuel system put some redex diesel in the tank (i have and have noticed no difference)

Don't kwik fit type places do a free aircon check? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

FREE CHECKS (is there really such a thing??)
How many people have had a FREE CHECK that has come back as "yes everything working fine and you don't need any work doing"?? NOT many I'll bet.

I have the car serviced at my local main dealer every year, so if it is necessary why wasn't it done when the car was serviced? Another thought, I don't remember any mention of pollen filters being changed.

Iv'e heard that if you visit certain areas af large Cities there are ladies offering extras and some I am told are a lot less than £39 but in the long run can cost you a lot more. Laughing p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Mine was serviced today. I was offered the same two extras, which I also declined.

To answer 'Rowys' comment about nothing being for free, I do have to say that Stratstone Cheltenham recently did a free 'Health Check' on the car and did come back to say nothing needs doing.......
