Try using the search function, there are so many options!

What fault codes are showing?

Split turbo hoses, failed turbo actuator, failed/sticky turbo, disconnected turbo actuator linkage for starters. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

Hi there

Exactly the same issue I had in mine recently , absolutely flat , gutless and lethargic, just like as you say , no boost being generated.
I searched all manner of things , using this excellent site and still drew a blank.

I did thoroughly check my boost hoses , as much as could actually reach I should add.

Took it to the excellent peeps at JAS landrover near shiptonthorpe ( I see you are east yorks somewhere ) and they found the split hose , replaced and all is good again.

Give Steph or jamie a call and go from there👍

If you are 100% certain that all the hoses are ok, I'd be looking at the turbo actuator & linkage, make sure they move freely when disconnected. Also check that the turbo vane arm moves freely & is not jammed. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

And not always immediately visible either, the common hose which fails is the top one at the front of the engine. Mine had failed at the intercooler end. Not really visible but a tell tale trace of oil around the pipe was an indicator. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

You need to do a smoke test, buy a can of smoke and spray into the air intake, if a hose is split the smoke will emit at the split, no split no smoke except at the exhaust. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
