Xtrons query

Put this in wrong place.
2010 HSE auto.
Been looking at all the info I can find on xtrons.
Need guidance. What would be the best model for my car.
Think the sat nav is rubbish and I did update to a 2020 disc.
Any help much appreciated.
Thank you Jim A

I recently installed the PQS70DLRL in my 2008 FL2 which didn’t have the LR screen. It really was a plug 'n' play installation and the wireless CarPlay is simply superb. I personally wouldn’t be bothered with the basic version without CarPlay but then if you don’t use an iPhone, wireless CarPlay isn’t much use to you. I’d have to say that I find the standard Android interface very underwhelming and unattractive, but others I’m sure think differently.

The only fault I have is that I can’t get the built in microphone to work. I have bought an external one to plug into the mic socket that’s provided but haven’t got round to it yet as I can still use the LR Bluetooth phone system even though the phone is also connected to the Xtrons! But if I want to be able to use voice controls then I need to get the mic working.

Xtrons tech support have been very responsive, and provided a couple of software upgrades but neither solved the mic problem. More work needed!

Chris, deepest sympathies for your stroke. SWMBO had a stroke 3 years ago. Bought the FL2 after a D2 and she finds it easier to get in and out and extremely comfortable.
Have decided not to go for xtrons. Mainly because I don,t often listen to radio and the 6 CD player is fine. Not struck on the satnav but getting used to it.
So xtrons on hold at moment.
Wish you well Chris and Merry Christmas to all Jim A

Chris, thank you for your reply.
SWMBO can manage to walk but her balance is rubbish.
Can i suggest a four wheel walker if needed.
We bought a Drive Four wheel walker. Much more stable than the three wheeled version.
Gives her confidence and purpose when shopping.
all the best from Scotland to you both,

thanks Jim, Although a major stoke I was very lucky to have no lasting issues except fatigue and occasional forgetting of words in sentences (of course, that may be old age creeping up ! Smile)
My main problem when I had the stroke was with speech, was unable to speak properly , all came out as garbage, but physically apart from very weak left arm and extreme fatigue I was fortunate and escaped a lot of the common and difficult physical problems.
Hope SWMBO regains her balance soon and has a full recovery.
Bets wishes and Happy New Year
cheers
Chris
