Does any one know where this is from ?

Hi all, I'm half way through changing the cam belt and found this rubber grommet / spacer on the floor. Does any body know where its from. Looks to me like a rubber radiator mount or similar but I don't know. I know I haven't removed it intentionally.

It's an air box damper.

I remember, it's where the coolant tank slips in to the body. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. My daily driver.

As said looks like one of the air box (air filter ) mounting rubbers, should be three off.

Thanks for the replies every one, as stated its one of the rubber mounts for the air filter box. When reinstalling it was definitely missing. Its taken me 24 hours to changer this Cam belt, its about 25 years since I last did one, I'm hoping my next one is due in 2047 ! Tomorrows task is trying to flush the auto gearbox.

Flushing the auto box if you are going down the total fill and flush route in one go using about 12 litres is easy. It's a two person job one to turn the engine on and off the other to check on the fluid and replenish. It took me longer to warm the fluid up for the final level check than to do the four sequential flushes but I have done it twice now.

Just one suggestion don't over tighten the bolt that holds the pipe connector to auto box or you could strip the threads. Now how do I know that.

Best of luck with it.

Thanks for the advice, Ive given up today on this as its almost 2pm and I can't get the icarsoft reader to tell me the correct gearbox oil temperature. I even tried to pretend it was an Evoque as suggested on the forum but the most it would say was 8.5 centigrade. Im going to borrow one of those laser thermometers and try that. I now have to change the IRD oil on my 05 Td4.
