Pretty much the same as mine, then. Therefore the rear beam squab assembly date will be near enough to the final build date for most of our early FL2s.

I can't be sure about the later versions.

So three working days difference, seems to confirm the trend - so far!

I was out doing some light maintenance on the i6 this morning. I pulled the engine cover and discovered the parts label inside, indicating 14 Feb 07. Ties in with the other dates I have (see above).

At this rate I shall be able to date when all the parts were bought together on the assembly line! One way of checking the car is original, I suppose.

On another matter, I removed the bottom section of the air cleaner housing, as I was concerned about it seeming loose. The very bottom push/pull fitting lacked the two small lugs around the side of the end of the fitting, leaving it free to ride up and down somewhat. It was clear that there had never been any lugs there in the first place. Does this chime with what others have found?

Although I have now refitted it all, I wonder about just popping a self tapping screw in down there to help keep it in place.

(EDIT)
Well after a long weekend of googling, it appears this sticker is about EU compliance parts.

mystery solved Cool

Awesome, good to know!

Reading through the thread I'm glad I'm not the only one interested in when their motor was made etc. (that's how I found this place)

I know mine is very early as it's a 2006 and I think they only started selling them in December 06?

It's my first Landy! Barn find, immaculate fairly low mileage for the year.

What I really wanted to know was what the information plate on the passenger door is. I can't find any information online about it even existing.

I've attached a picture (I think)

Hopefully someone will know what it means.

Denmark 2007 Freelander 2 i6 SE Auto Izmir Blue

Chiming in with mine. Left hand drive. i6 SE 3,2 petrol (of course).
Originally sold in Greece. After many years in the dry, imported to Denmark, where it had two owners shortly before me. My wife is used to driving a very hard low sportscar, so she likes the difference. Sometimes I am really in doubt if the engine is actually running. It's that quiet Very Happy
Ismir blue with Alpaca leather all over.
Does have folding mirrors, puddle light, park assist both front and rear, full top spec stereo and speakers and subwoofer, telephone assist, gps system.
Electric seats.
Head light adjustable up/down.
and a lot more.

No color coded mirrors.
No sun roof.
No seat heating
No front screen heating

I added some bit and bobs, for example, a full set of piano black handles and dash pieces.
Full leather on dash, black stitching.
two sets of 18" Range Rover wider better et wheels, including spare, so running 255 perfectly.
facelifted front bumper with black trim complete.
Facelifted tailgate handle in body color.
leather boot on autostick and parking brake in all black.
HSE extra small compartment in center console rear.
HSE leather steering wheel.
HSE adjustable foldable front armrest on both seats. (completely rebuilt both seats).
I recently added LED bulbs on the headlight. What a difference!!! Absolutely great.

I would like to install a HSE stalk, so I can get the trim computer.

According to Land Rover here in Denmark, only 3 were sold here, and mine is imported as stated. So 4 in total. Though they believe one were exported some time ago. This is mid 2025. Some diesels still driving around, though the Danish government are banning diesel.
The road tax here is extreme. 1300 gbp per year. I think that sucks... But a nice fast car and goes exactly where you want it and how you want it.

251.000 km so far and running really well.

Cheers,
Redfox.
plus all the service of course.
