oooh I do like that HONDA Passport

typical isnt it when you like a car I guess it will never be available in the UK, I do like a Honda, never cared for the backend shape on the CR-V but this U.S. car looks good, of course it has a V6 3.5 engine Rolling with laughter

Don't knock a nice big lazy V6 petrol - although 3.5litres isn't much by American standards.
240bhp doesn't sound like a turbo (ingenium 2.0 petrol is 290bhp but needs a turbo).
Petrol so no DPF, no Adblue, no stupid half baked hybrid with a 200yds range. Simple and it's a Honda so should be reliable.

The only downside is that it's a Honda - only had one for longer than a few days and I begged the rental company to give me something with a soul, they gave me a SAAB soft top Very Happy

The Honda was reasonably quick, reasonable on fuel, not comfortable but not uncomfortable, had some toys, but nothing to grab your attention. It was always going to start, it was always going to get you there, but I didn't enjoy the experience, in fact what had been the highlight of the day (driving to and from work in the Freelander) turned into a chore. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

not complaining at all about that engine, but I admit I am soulless as well, only had 9 cars in 43 years, five of them were Honda. Whistle Whistle Whistle

I guess they were boring as nothing went wrong, hardly ever needed repairs . . . . .however after 5 years and ONLY 12,000 miles, my freelander 2 has cost way too much even though I like it 2017 SEAT Ateca 4drive 2.0 xcellence (May 2022 -

My daughter has a Honda HRV in Australia - its been utterly reliable. Which is good as she works out in the bush - but most of the roads have tarmac as well as roos and wombats. Jules

yes, good cars, My 1991 Legend was still my fave car of all time, 3.2i engine was sweet.

Anyway getting back to original post where I like the USA car and criticise the CR-V shape . . . . .looks like the new HR-V is a lot like the American passport model 2017 SEAT Ateca 4drive 2.0 xcellence (May 2022 -

All these mid range SUVs seem to have really sloping tailgates - loosing a lot of luggage space Jules
