United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Galway Green
Fault code P1259

Intermittent engine cutting out after starting, after re-starting after short trip. Only at very low or zero speed. Fault code P1259 Immobiliser to powertrain control module signal error. Both key fobs are fine, charged and working. Battery is also fine - all usual checks are fine... A docking module fault? Dashboard message 'Key docked' or 'Driver's door open' sometimes does not show. Steering column lock relay/lock sometimes has sounds of engagement/disengagement several times after docking key. Always re-starts OK. Anyone else had the SAME issue(s)?

Fit an emulator to the steering lock it will rule that out for good.
