United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Orkney Grey
Paint shop recommendations West Midlands

I need to get a door painted Orkney Grey and it’s many years since I have had paint work done.

Looking for a paint shop ideally north Birmingham but i will travel for a shop that can do a good job, again a shop that paints LR’s I guess would preferable, perhaps they know the paint mixes better.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Kevin

Have you thought about using a local mobile smart repair service. They will repaint a whole panel normally . I had a repair done on mine after a hit & run when it was left parked. It still looks perfect as is the colour match (Aintree Green) LR dealer quoted £770, Smart repair man did it for £285.

It's worth looking into Thumbs Up

This was all pulled out professionally and has virtually no filler in it, took him about 5 hours in total and was done on the driveway.

That looks like an excellent repair. The smart repair option could be the way I go.

My replacement door is undamaged, just the wrong shade of grey so I intend to have the full door shell painted on all visible areas.

I think the biggest challenge is getting a good match to surrounding panels.

Hi

I ca highly recommend BodyMatters in Stafford. I have had two or three jobs done over the 8 years I have owned the Freelander and have been very pleased with the results.
