As i have done with all the land rovers iv owned i have purchased diagnostic kit for my Freelander 2.
If anyone local to me needs to plug in your welcome to pm me to arrange a suitable time to meet. i'm limiting the offer to reading and clearing fault codes until i get my head around all the other functions such as Updating software etc.
I'm not doing this to make any money im doing it to help like minded individuals prepared to maintain there own vehicles.
Some other forums have a section where members register their willingness to help others with diagnostic assistance, for example D2 forum has a section called diagnostic locator. would this be an option on this forum??
If not i'm happy for the mods to make my offer a sticky>

Good to know Ricky, I will take you up on this should the need arise๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Key programming Midlands

Hi New owner in the midlands Tamworth area looking to have some keys programmed / paired

Been to the local dealers and they only program cut their own keys etc which works out expensive as I wanted a couple of spares , as you do just in case LOL

After a lot of reading posts got some E-bay keys and the Autel Ap2p00 module ( arrrived yesterday )
I was looking to do this myself but i seem to have a later version of the App in the post / video's
So before I start and just in case I screw something up was looking to get the keys coded or "watch " it being done

Not looking for a freebie so more than willing to cover time and investment

I have PM'd 2 members last week but had no reply yet so just reaching out and looking for other options
Cheers

Crommie

Autel Ap2p00 update

the Autel Ap2p00 works and I managed to pair a 2 nd key

instructions are a bit like "flat pack furniture " took a few attempts as I was not sure the keys were any good
the insructions seem easy to follow but as far as I can I was missing a step which was to put the key in the module when the Immobiliser ECU software was rebootng

will have another go later in the week ans see if I can get the 3rd key coded

So I'm happy and for a good price I have an OBD and a spare key

a big thanks to all the posters and information is a real benefit to a new owner

Hi There.
Did you managed to get your third key to program, also do you have a link to key fobs, and the OBD for programming the keys please.

HI There
I know this is a long shot but did you find anyone to program your towbar for you, or does anyone know where this could be done, asking on behalf of a friend.

There are 3 versions of the OEM towing loom (ive had all three) .

Besides installing the loom and maybe a few relays/fuses etc...

The earliest version required dealer programing to even work.

The mid-version only required programming to stop the reverse sensor alarming when reversing a trailer etc . I never bothered.

The most recent version is entirely plug-n-play and needs no visits to the Stealers for programming. Jules
