Only by todays standards, in it's time it was considered to be extremely advanced and a very attractive design, the De Lorian was a similar style. The 60's curves went and angular was in, today angular is out and curves with wings and splitters are in, some will say the 1930's cars were the ultimate of beautiful design, car design had always been a compromise and there have been a few disasters in recent years. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Always thought the Lagonda looked like something out of U.F.O. As if it was designed for the series, but didn't make it to screen due to budget constraints. Then years later, the CEO of Aston Martin asked his design team to come up with something "futuristic", to which one of them said, "I have the very thing, tucked away in this barn here. Just ignore the s.h.a.d.o. decals, that's just code for .....er.....something".

Totally agree with the above. Problem I think we have today is with all the technology we have now, designers have the ability to twist and turn a sheet of steel and put crease's into places that were not possible before. They then don't step back to see the end product. Although it's all very cleaver as a whole it's fuzzy and over complicated.

Every twist, crease and curve in the bodywork is a stiffening to increase rigidity and reduce weight, this can produce a really ugly product, however it seems that some designers hope their ugly designs will gain cute status, there's no other excuse. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

For it's time I thought it was better looking than the Rav4 it was designed to compete with, the V6 was a bit of a beast but its transmission was a touch weak for its torque my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

It is very popular in convertible variant in Cyprus hundreds of them even now. Fl2s are a rarity mainly expats or service personnel import. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
