Drivers seat lift mechanism

Does anyone else’s manual drivers seat continually drop to its lowest position after every journey? I have mine 2 pumps on the
Lever from the bottom position and I have to readjust it every time I get back in the car.

same here, I don't think that I've seen a proper fix for it, some say that you press the lever down when getting out.

The seat never dropped while I’ve been driving, the height only changes between driving sessions. When I replaced the seat foam I had a look at the mechanism and couldn’t persuade it to drop without pressing the adjuster. Some owners have put a stop below the lever so if you need to adjust the height downwards you have to overcome it. That stops the lever from being depressed by your thigh as you enter and exit the car.

The seat adjuster works at a very fine level. It isn’t a straight ratchet where you have to move the adjustment level through its full movement to adjust the seat. Tiny movements of the adjustment lever move the seat adjustment in very small increments. It could be that the simple normal vibration of driving is causing small movements of the lever to accumulate into something we eventually notice. The only fixes I’ve heard of are either expensive, an electric seat mechanism, or cheap, fitting a stop to the side of the seat to hold the lever in place.
Just my thoughts after having a look at the mechanism while fitting a new seat sponge last year.
