But who wants those horrible looking light guards?

Were they even made for the LED clusters?

Took a while as the screwdriver wax perhaps too a little too large to engage in the screw heads adequately but a thinner bladed screwdriver with a decent cross head, it would (I believe) have been very easy.

And with a power screwdriver you'll do it even easy, in seconds.

I'll have a look at mine later,
I'm thinking it's possible to fix a piece of angle
to the inner side of the light unit, therefore blocking
any direct access to the screws. DAVE.

Or a decent piece of thick tape down the whole fitting so any potential light-fingered thieving geezer wouldn't be able to see the screws

Don’t need to see them… What I did to 'steal' my own light was gently run the screwdriver up or down to find the recesses in which the screws sit - practically self guiding onto the target. A little pressure would flex or pierce the tape to give the locations away.

From what I understand, the screwdriver
needs to line up enough to be of use,
so if an obstruction, say a small length of angle (plastic)
was fitted, then would this not prevent the theft,
or something could even be fitted inside the edge of the tailgate.
possible enough to fill the gap.
I understand this would not necessarily stop the tailgate being damaged. Neutral
Just a thought DAVE.

Has anybody on here had their rear lights stolen?
A quick search doesn't reveal anything. nothing much on Google either. 1 case in Kent 3 years ago.
Not sure it's an issue really, though I notice Powerful UK have an anti-theft kit much like that discussed.

Knowing my luck, mine will be missing in the morning! Sad

These alone would probably be as effective as anything else... cheap enough and come in dark grey or black.

Good idea
What diameter are they? I would only find small ones? FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey
