Sport mode on Auto

Hello everyone, new here and new to Land Rovers.
Just wanted to ask what is probably a stupid question. I keep seeing people refer to sport mode on the Auto. How do I engage sport mode? I don't see a button anywhere with sport on it. I know you can engage manual selection of the gears, does doing this mean that sport mode is on? Is there a situation where I can have full auto on (I don't need to change gears) but in sport mode - if so how?
Many thanks

If you knock the stick to manual change and leave it to change automaticly it is in sport mode it just hangs on to the gears a bit longer 07my Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Baltic Blue,Privacy Glass,Ebony black leather,Land rover detachable towbar,S/S Side bars,Climair wind deflectors,Bramble Rash,

As rover60 says you just knock it over from Auto into the manual position at which point the display (Odometer area) will show Auto Sport, now don't push the stick up or down or you'll go into manual mode which is indicated on the display by the gear number being displayed.

Auto Sport mode will hold onto a gear longer and is quicker to downshift for acceleration. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

Dont use sport mode in the city, doesnt drive very well. But on long drives and corners, works very well. Reduces the lag
