2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Discovery 4 / LR4

I was at the Land Rover factory in Solihul a couple of weeks ago and saw one of the new Discovery 4's.

My question is this, in America it is going to be called LR4, so what will the next LR2 be called? Can't be the LR3? Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Martinique Blue

Rumour has it the FL2 will stay the LR2, 7 seat version will be LR3 and D4 will be LR4. I can't see it happening though. But maybe it will. 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue..

I asked about the future of the LR3 badge, and the guys at Land Rover said that is now in the history books and there won't be another LR3.

I also asked about the facelift FL2 and the 7 seat option, the FL2 gets a facelift some time in 2011, and the 7 seat version should also be launched at that time, but with a different name, Ventura is a name that is being discussed apparently.

The LRX name is apparently staying for the 'Freelander Sport' like we have seen in the press. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

i would entertain the 7 seat version, only if they don't rename it as Ventura, that sounds

Sounds like some sort a Skoda derivative

I am sure they would have to strength the quite a few things like supension and the safe cell for rear seat occupants Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

It will be called Tata Ventura (just wait and see if I am wrong) 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

Rumors about a 7-seated model from Land Rover started to circulate last. Built on sale Freelander’s platform, the future model will be called Ventura and will be launched in 2012.
With design cues taken from both Freelander and the LRX Concept, the 2012 Ventura will be an unique model, with its own bodywork, styling and interior. It will compete with models like Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, Saab 9-4X and
the Mercedes GLK (=Y-F new car).
Internally known as the "Project L486", the Ventura will share engines with the Freelander. There will be a 2.0-litre and 2.2-litre diesel engine mated by either a manual, automatic or twin-clutch transmissions.

Surely they'll need to extend the back of it - you'd never fit 2 seats in the FL2s boot never mind 2 people "CY from DISCO3"

That's a very bad facelift if they do that. I think someone just fotoshopped the LRX on the nose of a FL2 and started a rumor. Even teh wheel are just LRX.

And why would LR put in audi airvents where the mist lights are.

It looks like the offspring of a romantic liaison between a TATA Safari and an LRX

Engine line up pretty easy to guess - Hmm, what engines/transmissions do Ford have...?

Ventura name is registered to Toyota or Mitsubishi (not sure which), so unlikely to appear on any LR. Feel free to take the p if I'm wrong!
