Diagnostic Code P2263

Hi I have a weird problem with my Freelander 2 there is no turbo boost in 4th gear all other gears are perfectly fine. If the engine is hot you can put it under load in 4th and eventually the boost will kick in, however if the engine is cold when under load in 4th I get reduced engine performance with no EML. We are only getting one fault code P2263 can anyone help. It has had new silicon intercooler hoses, new throttle body and new MAP sensor

Thanks for the info but that is already known what is not known is why it is only affecting one gear and what the actual issue is I don't want to go down the route of fitting a brand new turbo if it is not guaranteed to fix the issue

Fault code P2263 is set when the difference in exhaust pressure (be it less or greater than the predetermined threshold) is recognized by the Powertrain Control module (PCM).
I would check readings for exhaust pressure sensor, DPF may be partially blocked or pressure pipes clogged up acting as a valve holding pressure momentarily giving false signals to PCM
Possibly sticking vanes in turbo however requires further testing first.
Needs manifold pressure scoping whilst driving and see if it peaks between gear changes.
Some vehicle also have a Torque reduction control in 1st and 2nd gears usually controlled by either switches in gearbox or selector. If it has this function switch may be too sensitive thinking its in 2nd not 4th. ( haven't investigated on Freelander 2 )
There will be a Torque reduction switch on the clutch pedal which sends a signal to the PCM depending on position of clutch pedal as to whether reduce boost or not ( designed to prevent clutch slip and wear ) for those that sit with foot on pedal .
is this function correctly. all small thinks to check and eliminate Jaguar x-type sport gone
