2014 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Firenze Red

That reminds me - much to my surprise WBAC sent me an email offering me £15K for my 2014 SE Tech SD4.

Bearing in mind I find WBAC offers the lowest prices that's still very good retained value - equivalent to 70% at 3 years (using an exponential curve).

I have almond with LR covers due to all the outback dust.

My sister has ivory in her Evoque, always looks reasonably clean but have never asked what she does to clean it. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Having had quite a few jags in the past with cream leather, one with Heritage Tan and now a Freelander with Almond (but looks lighter to me) I have had a tried and trusted solution to keeping the leather pristine for donkeys years now. I let my wife do it. She has done saddles , horse tack and 3 piece suits as well as the vehicles now for a lifetime and to suggest a change of stuff or a different method would be to risk life changing injuries!!

WHAT DOES SHE USE

Bob up and down
She says A good leather shoe cleaner and the correct colour , rubbed in with a cloth and then buffed off. (same method as army lads are shown how) It keeps any cracks that may be there before we had the car subtle and coloured . Also uses saddle soap but you need to work it into the leather hard and it can smell different. Go to a good saddlery or a posh horse yard and they will advise.

Saddle soap is a good cleaner but I believe it strips the oils out of leather, does it not need a feed or conditioner afterwards? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Saddle soap keeps leather supple and crack free but her who I must obey says she uses a good leather polish more. Either way our seats end up bees knees. Come to think of it' as the person who doesn't do the leatherwork, what is "bees wax " like. I will ask in the morning!
