Anyone know where I can get this clip?

Hi guys

I was in the process of replacing my thermostat at the weekend and as I was reconnecting the pipes my bag of bolts and clips that I had blew away and I have lost a clip!

I need this clip to secure one of the coolant pipes. As it is a hard plastic pipe I cannot use a jubilee clip or anything and I need this clip. The things is , I have no idea what this clip is called and I'm finding it impossible to find a replacement anywhere ! The clip pushes over the pipe in its designated cut out slot and as it stretches over the pipe it then closes again securing it. I have a photo below of the clip in the workshop manual but I can't find a part number or anywhere online that sells them so I can't drive it at the moment!

Hope someone can help!!

As seen in your photo, the logo FoMoCo, try looking for the Ford part.

Thanks so much I will give that a try! I had all the bolts and clips in a zip lock bag and I opened it to use the bolts and the wind took the bag with the clip in it and took it over the houses never to be seen again! Couldn't write it!

And yes I have now invested in a metallic bowl 😎

Hi LR000678 is the clip for the sensor. I looked at that first to then read the description and it clearly says sensor clip.

There are images on the net if you google the part number but yes it is the u shaped clip for the sensor. It might be worth removing the sensor clip to see if it is the same as the one you lost by trying it on the hose. That way you could order a new clip which is about £5 rather than the £40 for a new hose with clip attached. Good luck! Thumbs Up

Thanks guys for your help!

Unfortunately that number for the clip is the clip for the sensor as someone else noted above and it's too thick. I have already spent a fiver on eBay for a clip that I thought might do it like the one above this post and it was a lot smaller.

I phoned JLR dealer and they said they don't have a part number for it and I would have to buy the whole hose and they could not confirm if the hose would have the clip on it but I presume it would hence no part number for it anywhere!

I will have to order it. £40 is a lot for a clip and it is what it is. I even thought of putting some mig wire through it and twist the ends but that's a proper bodge! Live and learn!

Thanks again !
