MY14 Dynamic Flat Battery Emergency Lock Not Working

Been a while since I’ve asked for any advise on here and more often I’ve helped others out.

I cannot find anything specially for facelifted cars MY12-MY15

So after 6 years 11 months the original AGM stop start original battery has finally given up.

Today I was going to replace it with a heavy duty Bosch S5 AGM Car Battery 12V 80Ah 800CCA 0092S5A110 Type 115.

However the central locking won’t open the doors and the emergency lock doesn’t even open the door Shocked

Luckily I have extended warranty with assistance so will give them a call tomorrow.

Has anyone else had this issue with facelifted cars...

A bit of a worry there... I was of the idea that the emergency key unlocking was cable operated on the passenger door.

Ed, power your vehicle through the 13pin / S connector (direct positive supply and earth) of your towbar, then use the passenger's door lock, with emergency key, if you KAHN't get in.

Quick update appears the lock may have been slightly frozen as it was -8 yesterday when I tried.

Today however I tried and succeeded in -2

New battery now fitted hopefully lasts another 6 years Wink MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

the other way of powering up the car is to remove under tray and put jump leads on the starter main terminal and engine block
