Led trailer lights

Has anyone fitted these and do they work with standard LR supplied trailer electrics (2014 7 pin) without additional resistors to make the indicators work?
Planning on refreshing my trailers lights.

My experience with LED trailer lights was not good, I fitted LED lights to my trailer behind my 2011 Freelander and there were all sorts of strange results with lights not working or flashing constantly.
In the end they all got dumped and the trailer returned to filament lamps

Youd think light manufacturers would have got this sorted by now with a simple built in resistor. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I intend to replace the lights on one of my trailers with LED but haven't got round to it yet.
I do however have a set of LED lights with magnetic backs that I've plugged into my MY13 car to see if they work as they should.
I have standard LR twin electrics on mine, and everything worked as it should.
The only missing item being the indicator tell tale on the dash not showing due to the lower power draw of the LED indicators.

I put LEDs on my trailer.

All worked fine, but no trailer indicator on the dash and reverse sensors drove me NUTS. Got an adapter but it made no difference.

I now have a reverse camera so the sensors are disabled. MY11 SD4 SE Auto

I wonder will these:

Solve the issue and make the indicators behave properly?

In process of building new trailer and would like to use led lights but want indicator tell tale to work and want reverse sensors to shut off once trailer connected.

Or is there a simpler option like a plug in adaptor between 7 pin socket and plug? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I have some LEDs on my trailer and they do strange things when the car running lights are off, which I don't really care about. The brakes/turn signal/backup all work fine when they need to. All works fine when the running and/or headlights are on.

I may add a resistor to the ground wire on the trailer, that would provide resistance to ALL of the separate light assemblies for the trailer. I do have a few old-skool running lights left but not many.

My towing icon rarely shows up though.

Maybe I should just add the resistor to the ground on the LR2, since every trailer I own or rent pretty much has LEDs now?

Going to need to be a large resistor. If you accidentally connect a proper old style trailer to your towing socket it will need to handle a fair wattage - 2 x 21Watt brake lights and 2 x 5Watt tail lights and 1 x 21Watt turn indicator. so 75W resistor is the closest. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

Yeah I was think of also installing a parallel bypass switch just in case I use an old trailer. But even my '74 camper (caravan) now has LEDs.

Wonder why reverse sensor didn't shut off?
Mine do currently with standard filament bulbs in trailer lights BUT, I have no reverse lights on my trailer so nothing is taking power for the car electrics to know a trailer is attached?

Have new trailer pretty much built and need to decide on lights to get the mounts fabricated, still really fancy modern led but don't want a headache with flickering lights or beeping parking sensors. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
