Spare Fob for Jap Import

Our 2011 Freelander came with only 1 Fob, not really surprising I guess as it is a Jap import. Got a quote from the local "stealer" (love that term) of $538.10 plus GST (15%) so did some research and bought 2 fobs from ebay for $52.72 inc postage from this seller https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/keyecu2013

Did some ringing around and Hamilton Locksmiths said they could probably program them, so once they arrived we made an appointment and had them done. Guy said he'd never done a Freelander before but he didn't have any problems, although there was an "oh sh*%" moment at one stage Shocked Also got the emergency keys cut and this took way longer than the programming part. All works good and the price was $150 so happy with that.

Just had to make sure the fobs I bought were the right frequency, there's 2 different ones, 433MHz and 315MHz, ours is 315. It's printed on the original fob under where the emergency key sits.

What is the "emergency key" that is referred to here? I just bought my Freelander a few days ago (also a Japanese import), it also only has one key thingy and I'm actually scared to lock it because the remote is unreliable and I can't see any option!

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

There’s a key pulls out from the fob and works in the passenger side door when the plastic cover is removed.

That's so cryptic! But it works. Thank you very much.
