Who said we were only ones with issues ?

From a caravan forum. Mazda BT 50 overheating Gearbox as sealed for life 😳

“They gave me a new 2019 engine and transmission. Since then over 2 years I’ve been through 3 transmissions.
The new one failed at 2000km. The 3rd failed at 7000km and blew metal through the cooling system so the replaced the lot under warranty as they have a 1 year 20,000km warranty on new installed boxes. “

2011 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Ipanema Sand

I was recently shocked when a mate said his BT50 had had the engine replaced by Mazda for free - out of warranty and all. He didn't even know it was going to happen. A known fault, apparently.

Brother in-law down south knows local Mazda dealer
They had 5 brand new engines sitting in workshop replaced under warranty

Better to get it sorted than the bad publicity
