United States 2008 Freelander 2 i6 SE Auto Tambora Flame

It looks like I can buy 17” steel wheels brand new from Land Rover in the US

For $160 each

LR005007

I don’t know what the exchange rate is exactly but 600 for a used wheel with a 10 year old tire sounds very expensive

Let us know what you find

Thanks

Paul

PS maybe I should buy 3 and get some off road tires

Check you spare to confirm that it is 17 x 7 for the steel wheel.

Note: you might have an Aluminum 19" spare or a space saver.

The part number di change but I haven't been able to figure out why

Ukraine 2013 Freelander 2 2.0T SE Auto Fuji White

UK gets a can of goo. US at least gets a non matching steel wheel. AU gets 5 full sized alloy wheels..... but then we need a second spare at $850!

As least we are grateful we don't need to buy 2 spares! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

So if I buy 4 of 18"

Can still use my 19" 235 55 19's as spares Thumbs Up ?

Not the best but an option

Goop and pump is standard equipment in the UK.

A steel wheel like the one pictured as the cheapest spare option, which also comes with the jack and lug nut wrench.

A full size matching spare is an expensive option, so seldom in the ordered with a new vehicle. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. My daily driver.
Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE.

Pejo,

If you are only going to drive for a short distance to get the tire fixed then it should be fine.

Just check the Revolutions Per Mile it should be very close for all tires.

My original tires were 714 REV / Mile.

Anything within 2% should be fine (Note: my LR2 tires change about 2% from New to Worn out)

Note: it would be better if they were within 1%

For reference my 2008 LR2 came with 18" Alloys and a 17" Spare (as Lightwater pointed out)

Good luck

Paul
