Any ideas what this symbol actually means? It sometimes comes on flashing on my 07 HSE when engine started, I always assume a headlamp fault.

BUT, if I turn engine off then back on it ALWAYS disappears, today when it came on I noticed my passenger LED light at rear did not come on, therefore is the flashing symbol relating to a ANY light fault? Again all was well after a restart.

I always assume this whole scenario only happens when the battery is a bit low, is that a correct assumption ?

Certainly looks light-related. Interestingly mines a 63 plate and doesn’t have any ‘bulb out’ warnings, a bit surprising

If it has a curved double ended arrow underneath it, it could be the Adaptive Front Lighting System Warning Indicator. Have a look at this post.
