Replace the PTU - How many hours to expect?

Hi All,

Asking for a friend of mine where we suspect the PTU has failed. There is slight play in the prop shaft flange + noise, so its probably on its way out. I have asked him to get a quote from the local garages for replacing the PTU. Will probably get a "new" one from either Bell or the local breakers.

How many hours to expect the garages will quote?
How many hours to expect from a skilled DIY-er?

Thanks Smile

It is a while since I replaced mine and I think it took me all day with some help from my son. I do tend to work slower than most with this sort of job though.
