iPad issue - help needed

Lost all the folders on my iPad hotmail account, I’ve no idea how. I have somehow retrieved them, however, the screen is now dominated by an attachments folder. If I open any one of the other folders I’m not getting the mail just the attachments in that folder??
Any idea what Bill Gates here has done and how to rectify it?

try duplicating your email account, if the duplicate account works, delete the old one

Are you accessing hotmail via a browser or via an email client? What happens if you log into your hotmail account on a PC? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
