Persist GPS configuration

Hi folks,

Every time I turn my car off and turn it on again, the nav loses the initial configuration and ask again for the language, units and agreement.

How to save that in a way that I don't need to configure it every time?

The car is fine, the battery is fine as well, seems like for some reason it doesn't save the configuration.

There is any trick?

BREAKING NEWS!

I fixed the issue by removing the SD Card, deleted the "save" directory (which deletes anything you have saved in the GPS before such as addresses and closed roads, they told me, mine was empty) and also edited the "sys.txt" file and changed "skip_eula=0" to "skip_eula=1".

After that the car booted the NAV as "Insert SD Card" but after a few hours when I booted the car again, it was working again and it persisted the configuration, no need for a new module or anything Bow down

Not sure which one fixed the issue exactly but it is now persisting (and it wasn't the fact of removing the SD Card and reinserting it because I did that before dozens of times).

YAY!

Keep in mind to at least backup the folder and the sys.txt in the case of disaster.

Hi Sobrinho - where is the SD card located - I gave no idea even where to look for it. My sat nav is in Brussells, but my car is in Wales. Thanks Kae

I'm in Brazil so I can't help in person but Rolling with laughter

Mine is in a module under the passenger seat (our driver seats at the left of the car, might be the other way around for you, I don't know).

You can push the seat up and to front and you will see a black module under it and there is a small rubbish that you can open and the sdcard will be there.

Mine is a MY2014, I know older versions use a DVD and in that case, I have no recommendations, sorry.

Thank you, I will have a look later - but apparently my model uses a USB drive for the sat nav, although i have no idea where the master drive is. . I will keep trying. Many thanks.

How so?

Mine have a USB port in the central console to connect to the audio system but the maps are still stored in this SD Card, which is pretty expensive if you break it, be cautious!

On a UK spec 13MY there are no modules under either seat...I have looked and nothing but carpet..

I have tried defaulting the whole system from the screen and will let you know how this goes in the next couple of days!

Thank you - it is driving me mad - not sure whether to bother with a USB upgrade but can't be sure I will get the right one for between £90 - £150. It seems to me they should check the VIN number before sending the update so that I get the right one - after all, they are the experts, not me.
Anyway, we will all keep trying until some clever so and so fixes it for us!

I defaulted the system but clearly the unit has corrupted... it will start off back in the UK but I am unable to enter any destination...I think it is fooked.... Sad
