Another split intercooler pipe post..

Hi Guys,

I know this is a common fix on FL2s and I've ordered a replacement silicone pipe getting fitted at the weekend.

However, the split I had was caused by the pipe hitting the crankshaft (I think!), see at the bottom of the video below:

Has anyone else had this issue? I've recently had to respond relatively quickly to a few search jobs and pushed the car more than I usually do, but nothing out of the ordinary? For Sale: 2012 Freelander 2 GS (https://www.freel2.com/forum/post431941.html)

I had that problem, had a new pipe fitted and I also needed a new bottom engine mount as it started again rubbing the new pipe, the mount seemed to hold the engine further away from the pipe . . .

Is that not your aircon compressor? Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Ah that is interesting thanks Northcroft, I'll keep an eye on it..glad to know it isn't too expensive of a part to get sorted if I do need to do that! For Sale: 2012 Freelander 2 GS (https://www.freel2.com/forum/post431941.html)
