I have an engine with a stripped timing belt, I am replacing the broken rockers, everything else seems ok, does anyone know if it’s possible to lock the flywheel 180 out When fitting a new belt.

Is this the same one you were having problems with back in May? Wouldn’t you have damaged the valves as well? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Bought as a none runner and stripped it down, all rockers are knackered but valves seem ok.

Use correctly both pins (cam and crank) and you'll be fine.
In fact the idea is to position the cam correctly when the crank is in a certain position.

I’d be surprised if the rockers were broken without doing any damage to the valves. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Just an update, been away for a few weeks so only just finished the job.

Lined everything up, bled the system with a vacuum pump and after a couple of squirt of easy start she fired up and sounds sweet.
