REAR WHEEL NOISE

Hi all i have a 2010 freelander 2 which has a noise from the rear offside but only when i turn right has anybody experienced this noise themselves or known any one who has and what was the out come

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Firenze Red

I had a rear wheel bearing go... thought it was the diff bearing so took the car to Bell Engineering where Austen diagnosed the problem.

It was noisy all the time except if the wheel was ‘unloaded’ by turning to the side with the knackered bearing.

Could yours be a wheel bearing in the early stages of failure making its presence known when that wheel is loaded (turning right suggests nearside bearing but mine sounded as though it was from the centre rear).

Handbrake pads can also cause some interesting noises when they come loose
